If you are applying for your driving licence, medical assessment may be required to show that you’re healthy enough to drive. Our team can provide eyesight and medical certifications for driving licence applications.
Driving licence medical test
When you apply for, renew or replace your drivers licence, you need to confirm you are medically fit. This sometimes requires eyesight or medical certifications. Fortunately, we’re here to help.
Our team can provide you with a drivers licence medical assessment to demonstrate your fitness to drive. A medical fitness certificate for driving licence doesn’t take long. Generally, we will start with a driver’s licence eye test. Also, it’s a great way to have a basic health check-up.

Who needs a driving licence medical test?
- Anyone applying for or renewing a heavy vehicle class licence.
- Applying for or renewing endorsements for passenger, recovery services, driving instruction or testing.
- Drivers aged 75 or over.
- Anyone with a medical condition that could affect your ability to safely operate a vehicle.
- Anyone who has been requested to supply a medical certificate for driver licence application by the NZTA.
Medical certifications for drivers
A driver’s licence medical form will ask you about existing conditions, which you must declare. Keep in mind, if you have any of these conditions, you may need to provide medical certifications:

- High blood pressure
- Cognitive impairment
- Joint problems
- Strokes
- Nervous/mental disorder
- Seizures, fits, convulsions, epilepsy
- Cerebral vascular injury
- Serious injuries
- Visual disturbances
- Other conditions which affect your ability to drive, including fatigue, disabilities and dementia.

在我们诊所新注册的病人需要约见我们的护士或医疗助理完成一个健康询问会诊。
在健康询问会诊中，护士将会测量您的身高、体重、血压等，和简单的跟您相谈病史，让我们的医疗团队更好了解您的健康状况。
完成健康询问会诊后便可以与医生会诊。
All GP appointments are 15 minutes long.
- One appointment is for a single health issue.
- Should you wish to have a 30-minute GP appointment, it will be charge at a non-subsidized rate.
- Depending on your age and health, one of our specialist nursing or pharmacist clinicians may be able to spend more time with you.
If you are a new patient, you will get full access to the patient portal “My Indici” once you have completed your enrolment.
