Fortunately, there are many ways to address this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ormistonmedical.co.nz\/services\/long-term-conditions-management\/\">long term condition<\/a>&nbsp;including osteoarthritis classes run by our physiotherapist. For example, you can be referred to this programme if you have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee within the last 12 months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the course, our OA Physio will cover basic joint anatomy and care of joints;&nbsp; exercise (a major component of each class);&nbsp; managing flare ups and medications.&nbsp; Also, we discuss how weight and nutrition impacts on joints.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone in the class is working with similar challenges, which builds a sense of camaraderie.
